I originally come from Baden-Baden / Germany, a place that represents many things to me – structure, order, and a certain understanding of what a “good life” should look like. But at some point, I realised that this was no longer truly fulfilling me.

Sometimes, a new life does not begin with a decision, but with an inner distance from what once felt completely natural and familiar.

That is how I found my way to Brittany. Brittany is not a place for German standards – and that is precisely what makes it so special.

Here stands my stone house, built in 1863, with walls more than a metre thick, a slate roof, blue shutters and hydrangeas. It is not insulated to modern standards – but that is part of its character. It is not a perfect house, but a real one. And that is exactly where its charm lies: it was built for a different way of life, for wind, time and permanence – not for meeting modern specifications.

Of course, there are also new-build and beautifully renovated homes here. But I deliberately chose the old, the authentic and the unpretentious.

I viewed several houses, and then, one day, I stood there and simply knew: this was it.

Buying a house in Brittany is never just a decision. It is a feeling.

I have now lived here permanently for several years, have fully settled into life here, and I can no longer imagine ever moving back.

Brittany is quieter than much of what I knew before. It is more direct, more honest, more unfiltered. You do not stroll here surrounded by noise, but walk with the wind. And when you feel like enjoying a leisurely, elegant coffee, there is always Paimpol or Perros-Guirec – or you can wander through the enchanting streets of Tréguier, where time still seems to move at a different pace.

Life is different here. Unfiltered. Real. Sometimes a little inconvenient, but all the more genuine for it.

Today, I accompany people who are looking for exactly that feeling. People who do not simply want to buy a house, but want to find a place that feels right.
